Kriya Yoga Meditation Course

What is Kriya Yoga?
Kriya yoga is an esoteric tradition which is a self-directed inquiry into the nature of you, your life, and the universe.
In this course we will explore gentle Hatha Yoga postures
and breathing techniques to prepare the mind/body for sitting meditation.
Concentration and meditation techniques will be taught.
One will learn the Art of Mindfulness, which is the practice of present moment awareness.
Emphasis will be placed on a personal home practice because meditation is only mastered through practice.
Successful meditation transforms life bringing peace, harmony, bliss (true happiness) and contentment into every aspect one's existence and interaction with others.

Acu-Yoga is a combination of acupressure and yoga practiced together to enhance a person's health and well-being. Both systems relax muscular tension and balance vital life forces in the body. Yoga does this through controlling the breathing while holding the body in certain postures or positions and acupressure does this by manipulating body energy through a system of points and meridians. In theses classes you will learn how to apply proper point pressure to enhance energy flow, basic yoga poses with deep even breathing, to experience a true state of well being, and acu-yoga postures that benefit specific conditions. Some specific conditions Acu-Yoga can benefit are: abdominal weakness, anxiety or depression, back problems, body stiffness, circulation, constipation, cramps, indigestion, headaches, insomnia, etc.
